If We Have Firearms, Are We Saying “I do not Trust in Father Yah to Protect Us”?

                                         Written by Brother Jay

When people have guns and they let other people know they have guns or do a post about them, many people are very quick to judge them and tell them how they are not trusting in Father Yah. Many people say things like “I trust in the Father to protect me or he who lives by the sword dies by the sword”. So if you have guns is this really not trusting in Elohim? Now when you say you are trusting in Elohim to fight your battles for you, do you think that you will never have to do anything when these battles come? Do you think that owning a gun or weapon of some kind to defend yourself with is saying to Father Yah that you are not trusting in him at all, because you expect him to do everything for you when a confrontation or battle arises? Is this really saying to the Father that people that do have a gun or a weapon are relying on themselves for protection instead of the Father? Does this mean that they are living by the sword? What is the definition of Living by the Sword? Do you know what it really is or have you ever looked into it?
"Live by the sword, die by the sword" is a saying derived from a scriptural parable to the effect that if you use violence, or other harsh means, against other people, you can expect to have those same means used against you; "You can expect to become a victim of whatever means you use to get what you want."
Did you read that last part, “To Get What You Want”?
This is one of the most misunderstood quotes in scripture. When Messiah told Simon Peter this famous quote how could it possibly mean that he was living by the Sword? He was told by Yahushua/Yashua Messiah to put the sword in his sheath because Messiah was more than capable of defending himself if he needed to. He could have called down an entire legion of Messengers to defend him if he wanted to, but this was part of what he was supposed to do, die for our sins. They were not attacking Simon Peter so when he drew his sword it was not in self-defense it was to go after those that were going to take Messiah away. At that point they were not doing any harm to Messiah at all. Messiah didn’t want one of his taught ones to get in the habit of going after what he wanted with the sword so he told him that if he lived by the sword he would die by it. He didn’t say if you defend by the sword you shall die by the sword or if Father Yah tells you to destroy a nation you shall die by the sword. There is a big difference here that so many people don’t understand and pass this by with their lack of understanding. They paint the entire subject with a broad brush taking scripture out of context and don’t take other scriptures into the equation at all. At this point some of you are saying prove it to me from scripture and that is exactly what I am going to do. I pray you have the eyes to see and the ears to hear what is being said here in the following scriptures.

Neh 4:14 And I looked, and rose up and said to the nobles, and to the deputy rulers, and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the great and awesome, יהוה, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your houses.”
Neh 4:15 And it came to be, when our enemies heard that it was known to us, and that Elohim had brought their counsel to naught, that all of us returned to the wall, everyone to his work.
Neh 4:16 And it came to be, from that time on, that half of my servants were working in the work, while the other half were holding the spears, the shields, and the bows, and the breastplates. And the rulers were behind all the house of Yehuḏah,
Neh 4:17 who were building on the wall, and those bearing burdens, those loading, working with one hand in the work, and with the other holding a weapon.
Neh 4:18 As for the builders, each one had his sword girded at his side as he built. And the one who sounded the ram’s horn was beside me.
Neh 4:19 And I said to the nobles, and to the deputy rulers, and to the rest of the people, “The work is great and large, and we are separated far from one another on the wall.
Neh 4:20 “In whatever place you hear the sound of the ram’s horn, join us there. Our Elohim fights for us.”

So right here we just read that “our Elohim fights for us”, “how could this be” you say as they had weapons in their hands. Trusting in Elohim to fight for us doesn’t mean that we are expected to nothing at all, that we can just sit on the couch praying while the Father does everything. Could he do this if he wanted to, yes he could do this if he wanted to do it and there are some cases where he has, but we should always be ready to give an answer and ready to defend ourselves in this world? We are expected to be ready to fight knowing that the Father will protect us during a battle and we will have the strength to slay our enemies in self-defense. After all, we know that Father Yah hates a coward and cowards will be thrown into the lake of fire!
Rev 21:8 “But as for the cowardly, and untrustworthy, and abominable, and murderers, and those who whore, and drug sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the false, their part is in the lake which burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.”
Now going back to a few more verses in Nehemiah.

Neh 4:21 So we laboured in the work, and half of them held the spears from the break of day until the stars appeared.
Neh 4:22 At that time I also said to the people, “Let each man and his servant spend the night in Yerushalayim, and they shall be our guard by night, and for the work by day.”
Neh 4:23 So neither I, nor my brothers, nor my servants, nor the men of the guard who followed me, none of us took off our garments, each one his weapon even at the water.
Here are some really encouraging scriptures about how the Father protected Israel at times, but notice that they had to do something with their swords and not just sit down or not even own a sword!

Lev 26:6 ‘And I shall give peace in the land, and you shall lie down and no one make you afraid. And I shall clear the land of evil beasts, and not let the sword go through your land.
Lev 26:7 ‘And you shall pursue your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you.
Lev 26:8 ‘And five of you shall pursue a hundred, and a hundred of you pursue ten thousand. And your enemies shall fall by the sword before you.

I personally have no problem with people that own fire arms as I own some myself. This is in no way saying I do not trust in Father Yah to protect me or my family and I. I pray first that Father Yah will protect my family and I in any and all altercations/battles, second that my aim is true when I have to use a firearm or any weapon in defense, third that I will be able to defend a multitude of people as was done by one Israelite against many in ancient Israel if needed and last of all that he will give me strength to endure during any altercation. There is nothing wrong with thinking like this and you should know how to use a firearm. Gun safety is a must. So be safe and always pray that Father will protect you and give you the strength for defense as I have shared with you.

What is our Covenant Supposed to Look Like"?

  by Jay Scher

Act 15:30 They, therefore, being sent off, went to Antioch. And having gathered the crowd together, they delivered the letter. Act 15:31 And having read it, they rejoiced over its encouragement. So we have 7 things that this goes against. 1. That it was a sign you were in covenant with Yah. 2. You were to do it to all your males on the 8th day. 3. If you were male you couldn’t partake of the Passover unless you had it done. 4. He doesn’t change he is the same yesterday today and forever. 5. Messiah didn’t come to take away any part of the Torah. 6. This was to be guarded throughout all generations of Abraham’s seed. So if you stop this then you are saying you are no seed of Abraham. 7. We are teach men it is Ok to break the commands in Torah? Joh 7:19 “Did not Mosheh give you the Torah? Yet not one of you does the Torah!1 Why do you seek to kill Me?” Footnote: 1See Mt. 5:20. Joh 7:20 The crowd answered and said, “You have a demon, who seeks to kill You?” Joh 7:21 יהושע answered and said to them, “I did one work, and you all marvel. Joh 7:22 “Because of this Mosheh has given you the circumcision – though it is not from Mosheh, but from the fathers – and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. Joh 7:23 “If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath, so that the Torah of Mosheh should not be broken, are you wroth with Me because I made a man entirely well on the Sabbath? Joh 7:24 “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” Duet 29,,, Was the covenant here any different? Was the covenant made so that there was no Circumcision? Gal 5:1 In the freedom with which Messiah has made us free, stand firm, then, and do not again be held with a yoke of slavery. Gal 5:2 See, I, Sha’ul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Messiah shall be of no use to you. Gal 5:3 And I witness again to every man being circumcised that he is a debtor to do the entire Torah. Gal 5:6 For in Messiah יהושע neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any strength/power, but belief working through love. It is not about power or strength it is about being part of a covenant that was made first with Abraham. So where did this kind of thinking come from to get away from circumcision? Constantine, Marcion or who? He wanted to get away from anything that that resembled the Way or even what the secular Israelites kept. This is a fabricated word. Did Yah Messiah say this or is Shaul saying this. Oh it’s OK to do this because I say it. Are we supposed to go backwards through what Paul is saying here as though he has the same Authority as Messiah and the Father do? Or do we filter everything through what Torah and Messiah say, Because they are one and of the same! Did Sha’ul bring a new Gospel other than what Messiah was teaching and go 100% against him? NO, that is crazy talk! We do not understand him or it is a total corruption here, because I don’t believe Sha’ul was a heretic. People use Paul as a license to sin. Joh 14:6 יהושע said to him, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. I hope this was a blessing to you all!

Refuse to Love the Truth

by Jay Scher

This is not condemnation; this is the truth of scripture. Please do not confuse the two and tell me I am condemning people. The truth is very offensive to many people no matter how you say it to them. They don't like being told that everything they have believed in and loved is not according to scripture. The truth is not popular these days. Even when we share the truth in love, by just quoting scripture to them, people will still get offended. People get more offended with me when I quote pure scripture and I say nothing then they do when I open my mouth with the scriptures. Interesting how that works. When the Father is really calling people though many of them have a totally different attitude and they can't be offended by what you share with them. It is like a light switch has been flipped in their mind and they are just so happy to be learning the truth verses many others that are wanting to hang on to the lies they have been taught. This is not to say that some of those people don't come around with the seeds that you plant with them. Some of them have to get ruffed up a bit in the world first before they will listen to the calling and others just keep on rejecting it
Mat 7:13 “Enter in through the narrow gate! Because the gate is wide – and the way is broad – that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in through it.
Mat 7:14 “Because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed1 which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Footnote: 1Or the way is afflicted.

Sabbath

                                             by Hay Scher

We can always make sure we are doing a better job to Keep the Sabbath more Kodesh/set-apart. We must always stand up for this and make sure we never compromise this day! This is the test commandment that shows we are his, let us never forget this!! Many people that claim they are set-apart, but they continue to water this day down, by working on it and playing sports on it!! This is not how we keep the Sabbath!!! This shows we are set-apart from the rest of the world. This is one of the ways we show we are set-apart, besides keeping the other commands of Yah.

Psalm 119:160 All your words are true and all your righteous laws are eternal.

John 14:15 "If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

1Jn 2:3 And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His commands.1 Footnote: 1See 3:6.
1Jn 2:4 The one who says, “I know Him,” and does not guard His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1Jn 2:5 But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Elohim has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.2 Footnotes: 1Gen. 17:1, Ps. 119:1, Mt. 5:48. 2See 3:24.
1Jn 2:6 The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked.

Rev 22:12 “And see, I am coming speedily, and My reward is with Me, to give to each according to his work.
Rev 22:13 “I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.
Rev 22:14 “Blessed are those1 doing His commands,2 so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city.

Love

You're right it is all about Love. Loving our Father and our Messiah, and other people, but in doing that so many people don't understand what that LOVE REALLY MEANS!! Love = Obedience, Obedience = keeping the commands. The commands are not bondage as you so many want to think of them as. So many people are not understanding what Paul is saying and keep twisting the scriptures! It is not about justification, legalism, and Jewish law, Mosaic Law, falling from grace or any of the other names you want to give it.

It is about obedience to the living words of Messiah throughout scripture!

Obedience to Scripture is something so many people don’t understand and or just flat out don’t want to do!

Some people just really don't understand what happened when Messiah died for us. They don't understand what happened and what it all means. They have no Idea what the curse of the law is!

Are we under Faith or Grace?

We are under Both!

Faith/Beliefs = Works

Works = Obeying the commands in scripture.

Obeying the commands in scripture = Grace/Favor

Trinity Q & A Continued

by Jay Scher

Now if we look at the even bigger picture of things and the finality of all things as "The Plan For Mankind", it becomes even clearer how the two can't be one. I will explain some of it from the beginning first really quickly. If he is going to be in the presence of his Father he is a separate spirit being at that point, he can't go to himself and he is not talking about himself in the third person! Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim. Joh 1:2 He was in the beginning with Elohim. Joh 1:3 All came to be through Him,1 and without Him not even one came to be that came to be................................ Now Elohim can mean Mighty one or Mighty ones. In the last part of verse one it means two, mighty ones. There are two.....He has the same features as his Father. It is really simple. We were created in their image just as he was created in the image of his Father. Gen 1:26 And Elohim said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the livestock, and over all the earth and over all the creeping creatures that creep on the earth.” He didn’t say my image he said our image as in plural spirit beings. Take a look at the following verses for me and you will see what they want for us! Rev 21:2 And I, Yoḥanan, saw the set-apart city, renewed Yerushalayim, coming down out of the heaven from Elohim, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Do you know who Elohim is here in this verse and who the husband is in this verse? You have to see the big picture here and understand it is impossible for the two to be one. Those that are chosen to be first fruits and the marriage of the Lamb don't marry the Father, they marry the Son! So here in verse 2 we hope to be the bride and the Lamb, “Messiah is the Husband”. It goes along with the next verse; Hos 2:16 “And it shall be, in that day,” declares יהוה, “that you call Me ‘My Husband,’ and no longer call Me ‘My Baʽal.’ Do you understand the marriage of the lamb and the marriage supper? Rev_19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. People don’t go to heaven or hell when they die there are two resurrections and those in the first resurrection are the first fruits “these are those that will marry Messiah” and in the second they are judged according to their works, but with many of them going to the lake of fire. Rev 20:6 Blessed and set-apart is the one having part in the first resurrection. The second death possesses no authority over these, but they shall be priests of Elohim and of Messiah, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. This is the second resurrection. Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne and Him who was sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before the throne, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged from what was written in the books, according to their works. Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and death and the grave gave up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Rev 20:14 And the death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death.1 Footnote: 1See 2:11, 20:6, 21:8. Rev 20:15 And if anyone was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.Of Elohim and Messiah, so we are talking about two again and not one. Do you understand what I am talking about or did I lose you along the way. Please let me know if I have lost you along the way at any place. Messiah “Yah the Son” was the Elohim of the 1st covenant not “Father Yah” as no one has ever seen or heard his voice. Joh 1:18 No one has ever seen Elohim.1 The only brought-forth Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He did declare.2 Footnotes: 1See 5:37, 6:46, 1 John 4:12. 2The pre-existent Son declared, and was the One who appeared to men. Joh 6:44 “No one is able to come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him. And I shall raise him up in the last day. Joh 6:45 “It has been written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by יהוה.’ Everyone, then, who has heard from the Father, and learned, comes to Me. Joh 6:46 “Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from Elohim – He has seen the Father. Joh 5:37 “And the Father who sent Me, He bore witness of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. 1Co 10:1 For I do not wish you to be ignorant, brothers, that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, 1Co 10:2 and all were immersed into Mosheh in the cloud and in the sea, 1Co 10:3 and all ate the same spiritual food, 1Co 10:4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed, and the Rock was Messiah. 1Co 12:3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of Elohim says יהושע is a curse, and no one is able to say that יהושע is Master except by the Set-apart Spirit. So I gave you the crash course in the big master plan. Then we will have the Kingdom of Israel and a New Jerusalem as we read in Rev 21 earlier. Rev 21:2 And I, Yoḥanan, saw the set-apart city, renewed Yerushalayim, coming down out of the heaven from Elohim, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Rev 21:3 And I heard a loud voice from the heaven saying, “See, the Booth of Elohim is with men, and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and Elohim Himself shall be with them and be their Elohim. Rev 21:4 “And Elohim shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying. And there shall be no more pain, for the former matters have passed away.” Rev 21:5 And He who was sitting on the throne said, “See, I make all matters new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and trustworthy.” Rev 21:6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts I shall give of the fountain of the water of life without payment. Rev 21:7 “The one who overcomes shall inherit all this, and I shall be his Elohim and he shall be My son. Now we can read further down again that there is two “Elohim and the Lamb”. It doesn’t say they are the same spirit and again it doesn’t explain anytype of oneness at all, in fact it tells us “Elohim and The Lamb Two times”. Whenever we are told something twice in the same verse or in back to back verses then we can count on it 100%. There is no guessing here as to their oneness as they are two spirit beings. This is not something that is too hard for us to understand through the scriptures as so many people want to say when you explain there are two and what “Echad” means through the scriptures. With only 2% of our brain it is not too hard to understand. Joh_14:14 “If you ask whatever in My Name, I shall do it. This goes for asking questions about his nature and his plan for us. Why he created us? What this whole deal is really about! What his real truth in scripture is! Help with unlearning the false traditions and doctrines of man. Coming out of Babylon religions and learning how to have a real relationship with the Father, and the Son without man or Idols in the middle! That is what this is about, not religion, but a covenant relationship, understanding that “The Scriptures” are a Constitutional Treaty for the Kingdom of Israel. Understanding that they are not done away with, but they are what keeps us in covenant relationship with the Father and the Son. Mat_7:7 “Ask and it shall be given to you, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you. Luk_11:9 “And I say to you: ask and it shall be given to you, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you. Rev_3:20 “See, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I shall come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Question on Trinity

Brother Jay Scher gives a very sound answer with many, many Scriptures.

Question:

Thankyou for sharing your message on the Trinity. I am still confused, having been taught exactly everything you were talking about. I prayed and asked this very morning for YHWH to help me get all this into perspective. It's so hard to unlearn 38 years of untruths and sort out what is the correct way. Correct me if I am wrong..did Yeshua say..the Father and I are one...and what did He mean by that. I am still confused. I only want the truth...I am so happy for the understanding I have and can't wait to have more understanding to know and get all this figured out. I probably never will, but a better understanding. I message you..so I won't anger all my christian friends who think I am nuts..they don't know and at this point don't want to know. For their sake, and not causing them to be angry , I ask you in private. I love my Messiah, the Jewish people, my YHWH, and am so happy to be grafted into the people of Israel. Anymore sound teaching would be appreciated. I need a direct teaching, cause I'm not good at reading between lines..and I do get confused if too many facts come at me at once...Thank you,

Answer:

You are very welcome Sister Audrey.
He did say they are one. One as in “Echad”, not as in the same spirit being. Do you understand the word Echad? Like those in the body of Messiah are Echad. Most of them anyway, some believe just a little bit different, but for the most part “Echad”. They think alike, they have the same beliefs, they keep the commands listed in scripture that apply to them, they want the same things and they have the same plan for mankind. It is "compound unity" at the highest level. It is a Hebraic term for a Hebraic mindset and not a Greek/Western mindset. Now people get mad at me when I tell them this sometimes, but it is the truth and I don't sugar coat things. I just have to tell you them as they are, because I am held accountable for what I teach and say. This is the hardest thing that you will have to unlearn is the
Greek/Western mind set.
Yeshua/Yahshua told his disciples that he and the Father were "one" (John 10:30). He didn't define their oneness here. Later when he prayed to his Father on behalf of his disciples, he asked that they "may all be one, just as we are one" (John 17:21-22). Whatever this oneness may entail, they don't understand the word Echad, we assume it doesn't mean his disciples would enter into cosmic spirit unity with transcendent deity, as in Neo-Platonism or modern New Age pantheism do we? We would not be so arrogant in our thinking to think that we would be the same as our Dear Messiah now would we? We will always be below him as he will always be King of Kings!
Paul/Sha'ull provides one definition of the unity of Messiah and the disciples:1Co 6:15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Messiah? Shall I then take the members of Messiah and make them members of a whore? Let it not be!
1Co 6:16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a whore is one body? For He says, “The two shall become one flesh.”
1Co 6:17 And he who is joined to the Master is one spirit.
So now then are we actually the same spirit now as Messiah or are we our own spirit, but Echad with him? Do you see the difference here? It is the same with him and Father Yah. Let us look at another example, because the true Echad is so hard for so many people to understand. You have no Idea the names I get called over this exact subject trying to explain this to people. Over the last week I have been attacked viciously.

Php 1:27 Only, behave yourselves worthily of the Good News of Messiah, in order that whether I come and see you or am absent, I hear about you, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one being, striving together for the belief of the Good News,
Php 1:28 without being frightened in any way by those who oppose, which to them truly is a proof of destruction, but to you of deliverance, and that from Elohim.
Php 1:29 Because to you it has been given as a favour, on behalf of Messiah, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,

So here it even says and explains the disciples standing fast with one being. So are they really all one being or are they separate with their own thoughts, but at the same time they all have the same goals and beliefs? It is the same thing when the Messiah and Father Yah speak in this manner.
RUACH/SPIRIT. Elsewhere, he equates this SPIRIT with the "new man" or new nature, to the nature of the Messiah.

 . . . to be continued
