The Way

                                            by Jay Scher

I love this first verse a lot. In most translations the w is not capitalized as it should be. They loose the meaning of what the verse is really talking about. Are you in the Way or have you not found it yet? It is OK if you haven't found it yet or you have no Idea what I am talking about. I am happy to answer questions and share with you what the Way is all about.

Psa 119:1 Blessed are the perfect in the Way, Who walk in the Torah of יהוה!
This is from "The Scriptures ISR 98 Version". Here are a few other places it is found in this version of scripture.
Isa_30:21 and your ears hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the Way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right, or whenever you turn to the left.
Isa_35:8 And there shall be a highway, and a way, and it shall be called “The Way of Set-apartness1.” The unclean does not pass over it, but it is for those who walk the way, and no fools wander on it. Footnote: 1See Ps. 77:13.
Joh_14:6 יהושע said to him, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Act_9:2 asked from him letters to the congregations of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, to bring them bound to Yerushalayim. Act_19:9 But when some were hardened and did not believe, speaking evil of the Way before the crowd, he withdrew from them and separated the taught ones, reasoning daily in the school of Turannos.
Act_19:23 And about that time there came to be a great commotion about the Way.
Act_24:14 “And this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the Elohim of my fathers, believing all that has been written in the Torah and in the Prophets,
Act_24:22 And having heard this, having known more exactly about the Way, Felix put them off, saying, “When Lysias the commander comes down, I shall decide your case.”

The "HalleluYah Scriptures" does a better job of preserving this and where the capitol W was to stay in the word Way to give it the proper meaning.

ARE YOU ON THE NARROW PATH OR THE WIDE PATH TO DESTRUCTION?

                                             by Jay Scher

Many of you are not going to like this post, because it is a very strong message. You can change though. You don't have to stay on this path of destruction. You might think it is no big deal to keep Xmas and it is good for the kids, but you are living a lie when you keep it. The whole day is a lie, a falsehood. Messiah wasn't born on Dec 25, there is no such thing as Santa and the 12 deer, there is no such thing as being good or bad to get gifts, the tree has nothing to do with Messiah; there is not one thing in this pagan keeping day that has to do with Messiah. So if you are living a lie every year when you keep it, what does scripture say about those who lie or live a lie? What about those who love to do a falsehood? This whole day is one big falsehood that so much of the world loves to keep is it not? Go ahead and correct me if I am wrong.

Rev 22:14 “Blessed are those1 doing His commands,2 so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city.

Rev 22:15 “But outside are the dogs and those who enchant with drugs, and those who whore, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and all who love and do falsehood.1

DO YOU SEE? Those who love and do a falsehood. Is not keeping Xmas loving and doing a falsehood? Show me how it is not when everything about it is a lie. Not one thing about it is true!

Rev 22:16 “I, יהושע, have sent My messenger to witness to you these matters in the assemblies. I am the Root and the Offspring of Dawiḏ,1 the Bright and Morning Star.” Footnote: 1Isa. 11:1 & 10, Rev. 5:5.
Rev 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And he who hears, let him say, “Come!” And he who thirsts, come! And he who desires it, take the water of life without paying!

Rev 22:21 The favour of our Master יהושע Messiah be with the set-apart ones. Amĕn.

Are you one of the set-apart ones, maybe standing alone or with others? Are you SET APART FROM THIS WORLD? Keeping Xmas is not being Set Apart. Don't fool yoursef and think you are if you keep it! If you are not yet set apart and you would like to be, I can help you get there with the help of the Ruach HaKo'desh/Set-Apart Spirit dwelling in me and the help of Father Yah. All honor, praise and glory to Father Yah, and Messiah for I boast in them alone and not in myself. I am just their servant and yours!

Truth

                                                by Jay Scher

This is not condemnation; this is the truth of scripture. Please do not confuse the two and tell me I am condemning people. The truth is very offensive to many people no matter how you say it to them. They don't like being told that everything they have believed in and loved is not according to scripture. The truth is not popular these days. Even when we share the truth in love, by just quoting scripture to them, people will still get offended. People get more offended with me when I quote pure scripture and I say nothing then they do when I open my mouth with the scriptures. Interesting how that works. When the Father is really calling people though many of them have a totally different attitude and they can't be offended by what you share with them. It is like a light switch has been flipped in their mind and they are just so happy to be learning the truth verses many others that are wanting to hang on to the lies they have been taught. This is not to say that some of those people don't come around with the seeds that you plant with them. Some of them have to get ruffed up a bit in the world first before they will listen to the calling and others just keep on rejecting it

Mat 7:13 “Enter in through the narrow gate! Because the gate is wide – and the way is broad – that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in through it.
Mat 7:14 “Because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Please

                                                             by Jay Scher

Please Brothers and Sisters do not fall into the trap of being one of the 4200 other religions out there in the world or one of the more than 38,000 Christian denominations. Messiah and the 12 never called themsleves Christians to begin with it was others that called them a similar name that was later translated into Christian. It wasn't until Contantine that he took the name upon the Roman Catholic Church to be called Christians. If you keep this title you are falling under the authority of the Catholic Church even if you don't want to admit it. You are taking on their title. Messiah and the 12 they were called members of the Way! That is what they called themselves. More importantly it was not a religion it was the Way that was given from the Father to all upon the earth way before them going all the way back to Gen 18. This Way was given as a Constitutional Treaty to enter covenant relationship with the Elohim of the first covenant and later renewed with a few additional commands for the Kingdom of Israel. So if you are true in the Way of the Father and the Son you either accept this treaty or you reject it. Accepting it allows you to have a true relationship with the Father and the Son. It is not a Religion. This is so hard for so many people to understand. I hope I am getting through to some of you Brothers and Sisters. I pray those that read this will have eyes to see and ears to hear what I am trying to share with them. You will be called all kinds of names if you have not already. Weird, a cult, a leagalist, crazy, killer of grace, not accepting the sacrifice of Messiah and what he died for, Names Movement, Hebrew Roots, Synagauge of Satan, Jewish, foolish, a sect and so on. Thier eyes just have not been opened, because the Father has not called them yet! Much love and Shalom to all of you, especially to those in the Way.

Blind and Dumb?

                                                                 by Jay Scher

I don't ever want to be called dumb as a DOG and unable to Bark! It sounds funny, but if you are a Watchmen it is the worst insult in the world! What kind of Watchmen are you?

Isa_56:10 His watchmen are blind, all of them, they have not known. All of them are dumb dogs, unable to bark, dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber.
Isa_62:6 I have set watchmen on your walls, O Yerushalayim, all the day and all the night, continually, who are not silent. You who remember יהוה, give yourselves no rest,
Jer_6:17 “And I raised up watchmen over you, and said, ‘Listen to the sound of the ram’s horn!’ But they said, ‘We do not listen.’
Jer_31:6 “For there shall be a day when the watchmen cry on Mount Ephrayim, ‘Arise, and let us go up to Tsiyon, to יהוה our Elohim.’ ”
Jer_51:12 Lift up a banner on the walls of Baḇel, strengthen the watch, station the watchmen, prepare the ambush. For יהוה has both planned and done what He spoke concerning the inhabitants of Baḇel.

Much love and Shalom to you all, Brother Jay

Before All This

                                                   by Jay Scher

Luk 21:1 And looking up He saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury,
Luk 21:2 and He saw a certain poor widow putting in two mites.
Luk 21:3 And He said, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all.
Luk 21:4 “For all these out of their excess have put in offerings for Elohim, but she out of her poverty has put in all that she had to live on.”
Luk 21:5 And as some were speaking about the Set-apart Place, that it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, He said,
Luk 21:6 “These that you see – the days are coming in which not one stone shall be left upon another that shall not be thrown down.”
Luk 21:7 And they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, but when shall this be? And what is the sign when this is about to take place?”
Luk 21:8 And He said, “See that you are not led astray, for many shall come in My Name, saying, ‘I am,’ and, ‘The time is near.’ Then do not go after them.
Luk 21:9 “But when you hear of fightings and unrests, do not be alarmed, for these have to take place first, but the end is not immediately.”
Luk 21:10 Then He said to them, “Nation shall rise against nation, and reign against reign.
Luk 21:11 “And there shall be great earthquakes in various places, and scarcities of food and
deadly diseases. And there shall be horrors, and great signs from heaven.

We have all of these things going on now and they are bad, but notice what the next verse says, “BEFORE all this”. Before all this has not even started to happen yet. Today we have the internet and global communication so when something happens we all know about it. We have not even gotten to the really bad, bad stuff yet where some of us will be put in prison and really persecuted. The earthquakes will be much worse than they are now along with scarcities of food and
deadly diseases. And there shall be horrors, and great signs from heaven.

About Forgiveness

This is one of those things that many people say, but don't really want to do, it is a half-truth for them. They try to act righteous, but then when confronted with an opportunity to show it, to show their real fruit, they crumble. Forgiveness is a big area for this. Remember people how you judge another is how you will be judged. If you do not forgive others, Father Yah will not forgive you! If you make a mistake or just do something that a person doesn't like and you apologize for it even if you were not in the wrong. Just to be nice and try to create peace. They still hold it against you. I have seen this on FB especially. People are very short with each other. 70 times 7 is not accepted by most people on FB, even when one is sincere. People don't really want all of the truth and to have all the falsehood removed from their lives. They don't want to have to live by the standards set in scripture even though they talk the talk, so many don't walk the walk and it is really sad to see. I must say!

Psa 119:28 My being has wept from grief; Strengthen me according to Your word.
Psa 119:29 Remove from me the way of falsehood, And favour me with Your Torah.
Psa 119:30 I have chosen the way of truth; Your right-rulings I have held level.
Psa 119:31 I have clung to Your witnesses; O יהוה, do not put me to shame!

What Do You Say?

                                           by Jay Scher

What do you say when a person asks you what you believe in?
Do you stutter and say " well um I um believe in a, a, um, that we are to follow the scriptures" or do you say with a strong confident voice " I believe we are to follow everything that is written in scripture that applies to us, this means all of the commands in Lev 23, EX 20, Lev 11, Dut 16 and a few other places as my foundation". Then you say " I believe that Messiah lived, died and rose 3 days later. I believe in being immersed in his name and the laying on of hands. I believe in two resurrections, not heaven and hell as most people have been taught (some people just said "OH MY") when you are dead, you are ded, the dead know nothing. I believe Messiah will return to the earth again. I believe in a 1000 year reign with Messiah. I believe that there will be a new Heaven created and a new earth created as we are told in Rev 21, a New Jerusalem coming down out of the heavens. I believe in a tree of life for all those that obey the commands written in the scriptures".

I don't believe in Religion and false and often pagan man made traditions or denominations! What I believe in is much bigger than all of this. I believe in a covenant relationship with my Father Yah and Yeshaua Messiah. The Body of Messiah that has so many members that no one organization could contain it!

So what are you going to say the next time someone asks you what you believe in? If you deny him he will deny you!

Rabbi

                                                   by Jay Scher

Mat 23:8 “But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi,’ for One is your Teacher, the Messiah, and you are all brothers.
Mat 23:9 “And do not call anyone on earth your father, for One is your Father, He who is in the heavens.
Mat 23:10 “Neither be called leaders, for One is your Leader, the Messiah.

So many don't listen to this one at all. They call so many people Rabbi's. I gues they think this scripture doesn't apply to them, just like so many other scriptures. Picking and choosing is very popular, but the truth is not!

Jer_9:3 “And they bend their tongue like a bow. Falsehood, and not truth, prevails on the earth. For they proceed from evil to evil, and they have not known Me,” declares יהוה.

Mat_22:16 And they sent to Him their taught ones with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that You are true, and teach the way of Elohim in truth, and it does not concern You about anyone, for You are not partial to any man.

ARE YOU SET-APART IF YOU KEEP THE 7TH DAY SABBATH?

                                                     by Jay Scher

Are you set apart? Have you chosen to be set apart? The choice is yours. Have you made it or do you think that you can worship the creator on any day you want as the set apart day, because you have been told so by the pastors of the world that do not know the truth? This day is the sign that will give you more truth and show that you are continuing to seek the Father! This day is the test commandment. If you don't keep this day and work on it, then you have fallen out of covenant relationship. If you decided to start keeping it then you will be given eyes to see and ears to hear the truth as it is written in scripture! It is a powerful tool to keep.
Eze 20:12 “And I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign1 between them and Me, to know that I am יהוה who sets them apart.
This is such a powerful day to keep. It is like the drug that leads to other drugs. Sorry to use that example, but it is true. Once you start keeping this day then you start keeping the other Feast days and other commands in Torah that apply to us! The Ruach HaKo’desh/Set-Apart Spirit is very addictive. Once you feel it you want more of it and you want it to be around you all the time. This is real and the only way you will have it around you is by keeping the commands that we have been given in Lev 23, Lev 11, Duet 16, Ex 20 and a few others.

Are you going to learn to obey? If you are not already obeying and living the set-apart life or are you going to rebel just like the Israelites did in the wilderness? I pray you don't rebel especially right now. Time is so short. Things are lining up for the End Times. Don't fall into all the hype though that we are in the tribulation right now. We are not in it. There are so many things that have not happened that need to happen. So just stay focused on the prize. This is part of helping you keep your mind on the prize!

If you reject Father Yah he will reject you! If you reject the set apart day to worship him with your whole heart mind and soul on, he will reject you in time. Time is running out! He will give you some Favor for a time, for a season, but eventually he will give you enough rope to hang yourself, if you are walking disorderly! There are not many seasons left! You won’t even know it, because he will also allow you to be blinded and not be able to see the truth anymore. He will put the scales right back on your eyes that he once removed so you could see the truth and hear it from others when it was or is said. You really want to think about this and share it with others that you think might be going astray.

If You Love Me

                                                          by Jay Scher

Do you? It is an eay question to ask but it is a hard question to answer truthfully for so many. They say this or that and they are really slithery with their answers. Can they answer you straight? Many times no and if they do it is an excuse!

Mar 7:3 For the Pharisees, and all the Yehuḏim, do not eat unless they wash their hands thoroughly, holding fast the tradition of the elders,
Mar 7:4 and coming from the market-place, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other traditions which they have received and hold fast – the washing of cups and utensils and copper vessels and couches.
Mar 7:5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, “Why do Your taught ones not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?”
Mar 7:6 And He answering, said to them, “Well did Yeshayahu prophesy concerning you hypocrites, as it has been written, ‘This people respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.
Mar 7:7 And in vain do they worship Me, teaching as teachings the commands of men

What is your answer?

What Should Our Mission in Life Be?

                                                   by jay Scher

Have you chosen a mission yet? Have you locked it down?

Are you done with the world and what it has to offer or are you still thinking it looks pretty good, some parts of it some of the time? Are you thinking it looks good to have one foot in and one foot on the fence? A little bit more of sin in your daily life and then act the act on Shabbat, all you players out there, yeah you! When you keep that one foot on the fence it is really easy to slip and fall off without you even seeing it coming. You think you have control over it when it has control over you! There is no such thing as doing this halfheartedly with one foot on that fence. You are either in or you are out. This is no game that you are playing here, although so many of you like to play mind games with those that are actually working hard at feeding the flock the truth from Father Yah. The game is up! Time to learn that you are no longer a boy or a little girl where you can play games or play games with other people. In the real world your games affect other people lives. When you play the lying game or the twisting of scripture game! These games don't help people especially you. They also confuse other people around you, not to mention your own family if you have one. If you have children of your own. Telling them that they really don't have to keep Torah and grace will still cover them. Grace/Favor will not cover them if they do not Keep Torah! It is that plain and simple.
So take your games to another ball field. This one only has truth and we defend it and guard it as we are told to do! Your lying games will not work here, so don't even try them. You are put on notice now! The best game is staying on focus. Keeping your mission going without fail. Without any doubt in your mind as to what your mission in life will always be. You will fall short of the mission here and there and you will repent for it as soon as you realize you have done so. This is going to happen. So don't beat our self-up over that and think that you are not worthy to complete your mission, because you are so worthy to complete it. Stay on task and you will be completing parts of your mission as you go along. One day if you always do your mission, you will have shown others who Messiah is and you will know Father Yah, like he will know you!

Why the Sabbath Was Established

                                                     by Jay Scher

 . . . continued from last week.

The purpose for the Sabbath was stated clearly by the handwriting of Father יהוה Himself
(Exodus 31:18) and preserved for us through His Holy Scriptures. Father יהוה again spoke the commandment to Moses, "Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, 'Concerning the feasts of Father יהוה, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are My feasts. Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of Father יהוה in all your dwellings,' " Leviticus 23:2-3.Father יהוה has created the seventh day holy to Him. He rested on the seventh day. Why? Do you think He was tired? No, Father יהוה created, blessed, and sanctified the seventh day to give mankind a special time for rest and worship. "But, we must worship Father יהוה every day of our lives, not just once a week," you might be saying. You are absolutely correct. We are to keep Father יהוה foremost in our daily lives.Father יהוה has given us six days for ourselves, but the Sabbath has been set aside exclusively for a special communion between Father יהוה and man. Nothing must interfere in this weekly relationship. This is how Father יהוה intended it to be from creation and that is how it will be in the Kingdom. " 'And it shall come to pass that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me,' says Father יהוה," Isaiah 66:23.The Sabbath Signifies a Holy Bond with Father יהוהFather יהוה established the Sabbath by resting on it after the creation. He intended that all people do the same when He made rest on the seventh day one of the royal commandments. The Sabbath was to be a sign between the Creator and His creation. Read Exodus 31:13-14, "Speak you also unto the children of Israel, saying, 'Verily My Sabbaths you shall keep: for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations: that you may know that I am Father יהוה that does sanctify you. You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defiles it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever does any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.' "Notice first that the Sabbath is a special sign "throughout all your generations." Anyone that works on that day will be cut off from Father יהוה's true people. The Sabbath, therefore, identifies the true worshippers of Father יהוה. Keeping the seventh-day Sabbath is the difference between worshipping the Creator of this universe and worshipping a false, man-made mighty one. The pagans worshipped the sun god on "Sun"-day. Here, "sign" in the Hebrew means a monument, token or evidence. The Sabbath is a lasting memorial, evidence that those observing it are worshipping the true Creator. But some say, "I keep every day holy, not any one special day." Notice verse 15, "Six days may work be done; but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest..." We are commanded to work six of the seven days of the week and rest on the seventh. More proof that the Sabbath is to be kept forever is found in verses 16-17: "Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever." Perpetual means "permanent, lasting indefinitely."Is the Sabbath merely for Old Testament Israelites—"Jews"? "Know you therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham..." "So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham..." "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Messiah יYeshua/Yehoshua. And if you be Messiah's, then are you Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise" (Gal. 3:7, 9, 28-29).Israel was given the promise that, if they would be obedient to Father יהוה's Sabbath, they would be treasured and blessed by Father יהוה, Isaiah 58:13-14. The promise is exactly the same for us as spiritual Israelites."Remember the Sabbath" is as important as "Thou shalt not steal," or "Thou shalt do no murder," Exodus 20. The relationships between man and Father יהוה never change. Father יהוה blessed and sanctified the seventh day, thus making it His Sabbath. He did not do this for any other day, nor did He undo it for the seventh. What Father יהוה does is for all time. He does not change, Malachi 3:6.Our Days Named After Planet Deities.  None of the seven days of the week are named in the Bible, except the seventh—the Sabbath. The other six days are merely numbered. The fact that the days of the week are named today is one obvious indication that our calendar is not in harmony with Scripture. The Jewish Encyclopedia tells us that the present names for the days of the week are derived from the Sabeans and Babylonians. Sabaism (from "tsaba," heavenly hosts) is the earliest form of false worship, according to Jamieson, Faussel and Brown Commentary. In Babylonia, the worship of the planets became popular. Stars were divided into two classes: stationary or fixed, and those that moved or wandered. Those that were thought to wander were the sun, moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn. These planetary deities were believed to be the principle rulers of the visible universe. They also were thought to rule the days of the week. "The first hours of seven successive days were thus ruled in turn by the celestial bodies...(Saturn, sun, moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus)...after which the cycle repeated itself. Each day was named after the planet that ruled its first hour," Encyclopaedia Britannica, "Week" Vol. 12, p. 587.The ancient pagans worshipped the planetary deities in succession. Thus, our Sunday (sun's day) was named for the sun god; Monday (moon's day), moon god. The days Tuesday through Friday were named after northern European deities that corresponded to Roman planet gods, which also coincided with Babylonian gods (see chart below).Origins of the Names of Our Days English Saxon Latin Babylonian

THE SABBATH - A MEMORIAL AND A PROMISE

     Part 1                                         by Jay Scher

The Sabbath was made for man, Mark 2:27. The Creator in His wisdom knew that all men desperately need a regular time of rest and renewal each week. Observing the Sabbath–especially with others in fellowship–provides great spiritual and moral strength to enable one to remain in the proper relationship with the Heavenly Father* the other six days of the week. Just as necessary as regular sleep at night, the Sabbath is a natural law without which man spiritually deteriorates.*The true names of the Heavenly Father, Father יהוה and His Son, יYeshua/Yehoshua the Messiah, are restored in these pages. Superstitious scribes and misguided Bible translators took away these true names and substituted the titles God, Lord and Adonai. The sacred Name is easily proved in good encyclopedias and dictionaries under the headings "Father יהוה," "Jehovah," "God," or "Tetragrammaton." Request our free booklets or read online, "The Heavenly Father’s Great Name" and/or "The Missing J," which prove the Names conclusively from secular and religious authorities, as well as Scripture.Father יהוה's Sanctified Sabbath Day

Salvation has always been "by grace through faith." In the Old Testament, men were saved by grace through faith. It was Father יהוה's grace that gave man the sacrificial system so that their transgressions of His moral law could be covered. But grace was not fully revealed until the death of the Messiah.Just as the moral law leads us to the Messiah by showing us our sin and our need for a Savior, the ceremonial law through sacrifices is intended to teach us of the coming Messiah and His atoning work. What is thought to be יYeshua/Yehoshua's doing away with the entire law is merely replacing the ceremonial ordinances with His own sacrifice. The moral and civil laws still remain in effect. These principles were not changed. The Sabbath Is Necessary in Spiritual DevelopmentיYeshua/Yehoshua said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray to the Father, and He will give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever, even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive...neither knows," John 14:15-17. The Holy Spirit is quenched by Sabbath desecration just as it is quenched by murder or any other disobedience. The principle is not, "Give us the Comforter and then we will keep the commandments." You must first keep the commandments and then the Holy Spirit will do its work in you. יYeshua/Yehoshua commanded the lepers to go and show themselves to the priest, and they were fully healed—after they obeyed, not before.Proper Sabbath observance means religious training of our children. Neglecting the Sabbath in the home means that the children are not trained. When the Sabbath is ignored, so is Bible reading and study, as well as prayer and spiritual instruction. Sabbath keeping is Father יהוה's will. Man has devised many substitute activities for obedience to Sabbath keeping, but substitutes are unacceptable.Clearly those who use the Sabbath as a holiday, by putting themselves before Father יהוה in search of pleasure or profit, are not developing righteous character. Other attractions such as baseball games, movies, and television have no relationship with the sacred uses of the Sabbath day. They contain essentially nothing for moral or religious training. When the Fourth Commandment is violated by such pastimes, the Holy Spirit is quenched and interest in religious matters dies out. Can we wonder that those who use the Sabbath as a day for personal gratification or gain do not develop righteous character? No Sabbath, No Spiritual GrowthUsually, the Sabbath is rejected after one turns from Father יהוה. Just as breaking a law of physics can have adverse results, when the Sabbath is violated, worship is perverted and peculiar beliefs are sure to follow. Personal drives overtake biblical direction as intellectual reasoning supersedes spiritual drive.Note the spiritual derailment that resulted in Israel, following the righteous reign of King David, when one sin led to another. David's son, Solomon, married the princess of Egypt to secure the influence of the Egyptians. He then married other wives. Next, he built places of worship, not in harmony with Father יהוה's commandments, but to meet seemingly necessary conditions. Then Jeroboam thought it was necessary to set up golden calves in Dan and Bethel to meet a specific condition, and to be popular with the people. It was not long until Israel was found worshipping idols with the surrounding heathen people. It was not such a large step between the sincere worship of Israel in the days of David and the idol worship of Jeroboam and Ahab. Ezekiel tells us that the degeneracy of Israel was "...because they despised My judgments, and walked not in My statutes, but polluted My Sabbaths," Ezekiel 20:16. Any individual, family, community or nation that does not keep the Sabbath will soon degenerate. There is no growth in spiritual life where there is no Sabbath that brings the mind and heart to reflect upon the sacred truths of Scripture. Human nature is prone to follow the baser thoughts and motives even on the Sabbath day. "...not finding our own pleasure, nor speaking our own words," referred to in Isaiah 58:13, means that on His holy day, we are to turn aside from pleasures, profit-seeking, and conversations that we would naturally choose. For those who continue to reject the Sabbath, listen to John's assessment: "And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He that says, 'I know him,' and keeps not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him," 1 John 2:3-4.                    . . to be continued

Ephesians 4

by Jay Scher

Eph 4:1 I call upon you therefore, I the prisoner of the Master, to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called,
Eph 4:2 with all humility and meekness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, Eph 4:3 being eager to guard the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace – Eph 4:4 one body and one Spirit, as you also were called in one expectation of your calling, Eph 4:5 one Master, one belief, one immersion, Eph 4:6 one Elohim and Father of all,1 who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Footnote: 1Mk. 12:32,34, 1 Cor. 8:6, 1 Tim. 2:5, Mk. 12:29-34. Eph 4:7 But to each one of us favour was given according to the measure of the gift of Messiah. Eph 4:8 That is why it says, “When He went up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men.” Eph 4:9 But what does “He went up” mean, except that He also first went down into the lower parts of the earth? Eph 4:10 He who went down is also the One who went up far above all the heavens, to fill all. Eph 4:11 And He Himself gave some as emissaries, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as shepherds and teachers Eph 4:12 for the perfecting of the set-apart ones, to the work of service to a building up of the body of the Messiah, Eph 4:13 until we all come to the unity of the belief and of the knowledge of the Son of Elohim, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the completeness of Messiah,
This is so important that so many people take for granted and do not. The teachers are for the building up of messiah until we all come to the unity of belief. If the teacher is not going by scripture then he is a false teacher. It is that simple; you dump him and go to one who is. You search and find the right one. This is not always easy. You don’t make your decision based on how nice the playground is and how many acres they have or how many buildings they have on the property to worship in. All these things can blind you. I know I have been there. You are thinking wow they have all these things, they keep the Sabbath and the Feast days. Then after many months you realize they don’t really keep the Sabbath that well and they are actually playing basketball and volleyball on the Sabbath, along with teaching the kids that this is OK, because no place in scripture does it say we can’t do this! You might be laughing by now, but this is a true story that happened to me several years back. I never noticed they were doing this until they put the basketball hoop about 30 feet from the Tabernacle door! I was always in the bible study that they had right after the pot luck in the same building. When I talked to them about it the main pastor said it doesn’t say in scripture they can’t play basketball and Volley ball in the scriptures. I told him it says we are not to do our own pleasure in Isa 58:13 “If you do turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My set-apart day, and shall call the Sabbath ‘a delight,’ the set-apart day of יהוה ‘esteemed,’ and shall esteem it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words, He actually looked at me with a straight face and said “well we have just decided to turn our heads the other way on this one”. TURN OUR HEADS THE OTHER WAY. After that he said “I have nothing more to say to you” and he started changing the oil on his car. His other elder wouldn’t even talk to me about it. I started talking to him and he just actually turned his back to me and started talking to another person. His wife told me “this had actually gone to their doctrinal comity, they voted on this and it passed. So it is their doctrine to play basketball and volleyball on the Sabbath. The kicker of the story here is I had given a sermon the day before at their podium and I told his entire Assembly and other people, because it was during the Feast “that it was breaking the Sabbath to play basketball and volleyball on the Sabbath”. Little did I know it was their doctrine? LOL Several people from out of the area came up and thanked me for the message I gave. They said “they could feel the Ruach in the message as I was speaking”. Father Yah had given me the message to give and I had no Idea it was their doctrine. I was just Yah’s servant messenger coming to them and following his instructions. We left the feast the next day in the middle of it. It doesn’t matter how nice he seems to be or how entertaining he is or how many kids they have to play with your kids you turn and run! If you find yourself in a similar situation and we all do , so I am sure you will. You need to make the right choice no matter how hard it is or if you have kids, especially if they are giving you a hard time, because they want to stay and play with some kids they have met, they will almost always meet kids they like. You have to turn and run!!
Eph 4:14 so that we should no longer be children, tossed and borne about by every wind of teaching, by the trickery of men, in cleverness, unto the craftiness of leading astray,1 Footnote: 15:6, also 2 Cor. 10:5, 2 Cor. 11:3-14, Gal. 1:6-9, 2 Tim. 3:1-8, 2 Tim. 4:2-4, 2 Peter 2:2-22, Jud. vv. 10-19. Eph 4:15 but, maintaining the truth in love, we grow up in all respects into Him who is the head, Messiah, Eph 4:16 from whom the entire body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the working by which each part does its share, causes growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.
This is what we don’t see today “The Love Aspect of it all. People say the name of the father and the son differently. We should have love until we all come to the unity of the faith. If everyone is keeping the Sabbath the right way, along with the other Feast days, eating clean foods and keeping the other commands in Torah that apply to us. We should not be causing division with each other and putting each other down because we say the names different. We are all still in the body of Messiah. Maintaining the Truth in LOVE!! People need to be exercising the fruits of the spirit with each other if you have truly impaled your flesh with Messiah. Let the Father reveal the name to people and stop thinking we know everything. If you are truly in Messiah then why are you hammering other people for saying the name just a little bit different or saying they can’t be in your group, Assembly or Congregation if they don’t say the name just like you. Where are the following things that are supposed to be in you???? Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trustworthiness, Gal 5:23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no Torah. Gal 5:24 And those who are of Messiah have impaled the flesh with its passions and the desires. Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Gal 5:26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
Eph 4:17 So this I say, and witness in the Master, that you should no longer walk as the gentiles walk,1 in the futility of their mind, Footnote: 11 Cor. 12:2, and Jer. 10:2. Eph 4:18 having been darkened in their understanding, having been estranged from the life of Elohim, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart, Eph 4:19 who, having become callous, have given themselves up to indecency, to work all uncleanness with greediness. Eph 4:20 But you have not so learned Messiah, Eph 4:21 if indeed you have heard Him and were taught by Him, as truth is in יהושע: Eph 4:22 that you put off – with regard to your former way of life – the old man, being corrupted according to the desires of the deceit, Eph 4:23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your mind, Eph 4:24 and that you put on the renewed man1 which was created according to Elohim, in righteousness and set-apartness of the truth. Footnote: 1Rom. 8:1. Eph 4:25 Therefore, having put off the false, speak truth, each one with his neighbour, for we are members of one another. Eph 4:26 “Be wroth, but do not sin.” Do not let the sun go down on your rage, Eph 4:27 nor give place to the devil. Eph 4:28 Let him who stole steal no more, but rather let him labour, working with his hands what is good, so that he has somewhat to share with those in need. Eph 4:29 Let no corrupt word come out of your mouth, but only such as is good for the use of building up, so as to impart what is pleasant to the hearers. Eph 4:30 And do not grieve the Set-apart Spirit of Elohim, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Eph 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and displeasure, and uproar, and slander be put away from you, along with all evil. Eph 4:32 And be kind towards one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as Elohim also forgave you in Messiah.
YAH’S SHALOM & BLESSINGS TO ALL THOSE WHO WALK IN>> “the Way” AND KEEP HIS COMMANDS TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITITY! Num 6:24 “יהוה bless you and guard you; Num 6:25 יהוה make His face shine upon you, and show favor to you; Num 6:26 יהוה lift up His face upon you, and give you peace.” Hearted

Following the True Light

                                                          by Jay Scher

If you are not following the true light of יהושע Messiah, then you are following MAN! We don't want to be following MAN!

Man tells us we don't need to listen to the words of יהושע Messiah and that everything he said "was a lie then stuck to a cross that was really a tree". So how do you stick or nail something to a cross that is really a tree? They are blinded by the lies of MAN to start!

The true light is the Way, The Truth and The Life! Messiah would never say one thing and then have it all change once he died. That is not the gospel that he taught. He doesn't want to end up with another Ha Shatan/Satan or billions on them and that is what would happen, if it was OK to live a life of sin, then receive eternal life at the cost of having to do nothing your entire life! You would be showing that you didn't have to do anything to receive eternal life. It is a gift to those who obey him because they love him and they want to obey him. The wages of sin is death not eternal life!!

If you are not following the true light then you are following a pack of lies that some man told you! WAKE UP TO THE TRUTH!
Faith, grace and a life of sin doesn't = eternal life!

May Yah”s Favor, Wisdom, Endurance and Shalom be upon you as you walk In the Way  WITH BROTHERLY LOVE IN THE BODY OF יהושע MESSIAH

DID MESSIAH COME TO COMPLETE THINGS AND FULFILL THINGS OR TO DO AWAY WITH THEM AND REPLACE THEM?

WHAT DOES ALL THIS REALLY MEAN AND WHAT DOES SCRIPTURE SAY ABOUT IT?

                                                               By Jay Scher

What does יהושע Messiah tell us about this? Do his words carry any weight anymore? In this days world I tend to think they don’t. Is that not a sad thing to have to say? It really is. Then we have people that think they were saved at age 4 and then immersed at age 5. I am sorry, but at age 4 we don’t have the spiritual maturity to even understand the salvation message let alone everything that goes along with the commitment that one needs to make for the rest of their lives. They are not going to be a living sacrifice or know how to all those years growing up. They are going to be outside playing with their friends having fun. Even most teen agers don’t understand what they are taking on and what covenant relationship with "Father Yah and our Dear, Dear יהושע Messiah", is all about. They don’t realize the commitment they are making. So people just don’t take messiah at his word at all. They step all over it and make fun of those who keep it dear.
He did come to complete things, but not in the way that many people want to think he did. He is completing things, but it is not all done yet. He died, so when we repent for our sins we can be forgiven for them and so we are no longer under the death penalty for breaking commandments 2-7 and all the Feast days as we were in the first covenant. In the first covenant we could be stoned right away for breaking those commands. Now he also magnified the law, so if we dwell about sin it is the same as committing the sin without actually committing the action. He is also now our “High Priest and Intercessor”, as before we had Men that were our high priests. There are still many things that have not happened yet. The Kingdom is not here, his second coming has not occurred, there are way too many things to say he has completed things or fulfilled all things by being the final blood sacrifice for us. People just honestly are not looking at the full picture of what he had promised us and what the true plan for mankind really is. It just boggles my mind how he starts off in this verse saying he did not come to do away with the Torah/Law or the profits, but then because the word “complete or fulfill” is in there, people automatically think that negates the first part of the verse. How does this thinking come about and why is it so stuck in people’s minds? It comes from false teacher that want to tell people it is OK to feel good about sinning because we have grace now and he did it all for you so you have to nothing now, but believe in him. He just told us that is not what he came to do, but so many people want to think that is exactly what he came to do and we don't need to keep the commandments or the Feast days. Read it, it is so simple/ Mat 5:17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets.1 I did not come to destroy..... So we have it right there. He is not the destroyer of the commands, we know who is the destroyer and king of this world at this time, but people don’t want to think about that. This next part of the verse just messes that all up for people. Here is the next part; "but to complete or fulfill in some translations". So those three or two little words "BUT TO COMPLETE OR TO FULFIL" people just don't understand. Then Messiah throws out even more information for all of so no one gets confused, to make sure people understand what he is saying; Mat 5:18 “For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done.
Mat 5:19 “Whoever, then, breaks one of the least of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens.
NOT ONE JOT OR TITTLE SHALL PASS, which means it stays and we keep it. Then he goes further to make sure we understand it again. He knows how much humans can forget from one verse to the next. He tells us we are not to teach others it is “OK TO BREAK THE COMMANDMENTS”. WHAT DO PEOPLE DO??? JUST THAT, why do they do that? Because of these three tiny little words that they can't get wrapped around their mind "BUT TO COMPLETE OR TO FULFILL". The prophecies of the prophets have not been fulfilled yet. All things have not been completed. The Kingdom is not here, the resurrections have not taken place yet. There is still so much that has to take place. How do those three words change anything in the rest of the three verses that he said? THEY DON'T! Paul didn’t come along to teach against our Messiah either as so many people seems to think he did. He didn’t bring along a new gospel as so many people think he did. They always want to go to Galatians and totally take it out of context. They want to hold up Galatians on this high pole and think it some how crosses out the rest of the scriptures! Even if you think Pual/Shalul did bring along this new gospel that said all the commands are done away with. His words don’t trump יהושע Messiah and he doesn't have the authorization to change the Good News message! Please dwell on these words. I know I am preaching to choir for some, but for many they will and do think I am crazy, "CRAZY" I tell you and I am just fine with that!

The Renewed Covenant Feast Days

                                                                           by Jay Scher

THE RENEWED COVENANT FEAST DAYS

THIS IS A GREAT READ!

IT IS NOT JUST ABOUT THE FEAST DAYS!

A SPIRITUAL REVELATION LIKE NO OTHER!

Our world is in the midst of a religious knowledge explosion. Increasing numbers of more accurate and up-to-date Bible translations are rolling off presses. Religious bookstores are proliferating; TV evangelists are becoming more popular and numerous, and religious magazines are multiplying.

Then why, with all of this, can't so many people seem to find the truth, “the Bible” teaches?

יהושע the Messiah explained in Matthew 6:33 and 7:7-8 that His truth is something you must seek. How many nominal churchgoers are actively seeking that truth? How many are looking into their Bibles and comparing Scriptures to check the veracity of what their ministers are teaching them? How many question their pastors, ministers or elders about contradictions between what they read in the Scriptures and what they are being taught?

Paul said, "Prove all things, hold fast to that which is good," 1 Thessalonians 5:21.MODERN MAN IS STUCK IN MYSTERY WORSHIP THAT IS NOT IN SCRIPTURE! It is really not a mystery where it comes from, but when you share the truth with people of where it comes from they get really mad or very upset at the least!

Moses told Israel in Deuteronomy 31:29, "For I know that after my death you will utterly corrupt yourselves and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because you will do evil in the sight of  יהוה, to provoke Him to anger through the work of your hands."

יהוה knows the hearts of human beings and He is not being found by most people because of their disobedience to His laws. In Deuteronomy 31:16-18  יהוה said to Moses, "Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers; and this people will rise up and go a-whoring after the deities of the strangers of the land whither they go to be among them, and will forsake Me and break My covenant which I have made with them. Then My anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide My face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day. 'Are not these evils come upon us because our Elohim (mighty one) is not among us,' and I will surely hide My face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto idols."

What does that prophecy have to do with keeping the Christian holidays of today? Aren't the churches teaching Christmas, Halloween, New Year's, Valentine's Day, and Easter on Sunday morning and Sunday worship being the true Sabbath day? These observances are based in ancient mystery worship - not on the scriptures in the Bible.

They are teaching mere traditions of man and that's the problem. They are actually fulfilling what was also prophesied in Daniel 7:25; "And he shall speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time."

The word ‘times' is zeman in Hebrew and means an appointed time or season such as an appointed festival as found in Leviticus 23 (see Strong's Exhaustive Concordance No. 2166). The words ‘time' and ‘times' in the latter part of the verse are from the Hebrew word iddan and mean to measure time such as a year.Nowhere in the Renewed Covenant writings had the Messiah or His disciples switched the days of worship. If you could talk to the Apostle Paul and tell him about the counterfeit days observed today, he would be stunned at the change. Similarly, millions of people today would be shocked if they only opened their scriptures and saw that the early Renewed Covenant Assembly kept the Feast days of Leviticus 23.

MEMORIALS TO OBSERVE FOREVER

People today are being taught that the Feast Days are First Covenant and are therefore obsolete. This erroneous doctrine is one reason millions assume they can't understand the Bible and therefore loose heart in seeking the one true creator. In reality it is the reason why so many can’t understand the scriptures. They think all they need is the Renewed Covenant writings and not the First Covenant writings. Why were certain days okay for one group of people to observe and not for another, they wonder. The only difference in keeping the Feast Days in the Renewed Covenant times is a change in the sacrifice, as we will show shortly.  יהוה the Savior became the perfect sacrifice.

Notice in 1 Corinthians 5:7-8 that Paul in the Renewed Covenant said to keep the feast. Originally the Feast Days of Leviticus 23 were not sacrificial days (Jeremiah 7:22-23), but sacrifices were added because of man's transgression.Peter tells us יהוה was the perfect example we should follow, 1 Peter 2:21. In 1 Corinthians 11:1 Paul said he followed יהוה's example and we should follow him. To follow an example is to do as the example did. Nowhere does the Bible record that the Messiah offered a sacrifice.

In Matthew 9:13 יהוה Himself says, "I will have mercy and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." The writer of Hebrews tells us how to offer sacrifices in the Renewed Covenant times. In Hebrews 13:15 we read, "By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to  יהוה continually, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His Name."OBSERVING  יהוה'S LAW IN THE RENEWED COVENANTAll the commanded Feast Days are presented in chronological order in Leviticus 23. For each we will show the commandment and point out places in the Renewed Covenant where  יהוה or the Apostles were observing these days. WEEKLY SABBATH

Leviticus 23:3, Acts 13:42Let us start with Acts 13:42, mainly because many preachers claim that Paul did away with the commandments. Paul's writings are controversial to those who teach or follow some other doctrine which Paul condemns (Galatians 1:8). Peter warns that Paul's writings are difficult to understand and would be used to pervert the Good News (2 Peter 3:15-18). Taken correctly, in light of the context and prophets, Paul's writings perfectly compliment the rest of the Bible.

Acts 13:42 clearly shows Paul taught gentiles on the Sabbath. If he was the one to change worship to Sunday, surely this was the time to do it. He would have told them to come back the next day (Sunday). However. he told them to come back the next Sabbath, verse 44.

Acts 15:17 clearly shows us James was referring to gentiles. In verse 20 he tells them to abstain from 'pollutions of idols. from fornication, things strangled, and from blood. Pollution of idols would be eating unclean food sacrificed to idols; fornication was often with temple prostitutes (see Numbers 25). These former pagans drank blood in their rituals (ox blood, to make them as strong as an ox). Acts 15:21 says, "For Moses of old time has in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath day."

Thus instructions in righteousness were given the gentiles when they attended the synagogue, as we have seen in Acts 13:42, 44. Even when Paul was not in a synagogue he preached on the Sabbath day as mentioned in Acts 16:13, "And on the Sabbath he went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spoke unto the women who went there." (The word "spoke" is laloe in the Greek and means to preach.)

Some people believe that יהושע the Messiah abolished the law with His death, including the law of the Sabbath. Yet, Scripture shows that the Savior is "master of the Sabbath,"

Mark 2:28, having created it in the first place (John 1:3 and Hebrews 1:2). Having created the Sabbath, He also rested on it (Genesis 2:2).

Now if He intended to do away with the Sabbath, why would He observe it both at creation and while He walked on this earth? In Luke 4:16 and Mark 1:21 we find that the Messiah went to the synagogue to keep the Sabbath. He said He didn't come to destroy the law, but to fulfill it, Matthew 5:17. The Sabbath He created was to be observed by man on earth and that is why He also observed it while He was on earth. He explained that the Sabbath was made for man, not only for Jews.

What about the Apostle John? He tells us in 1 John 2:24, "Let that therefore remain in you which you have heard from the beginning. If that which you have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, you also shall continue in the Son and in the Father." Nowhere is there even a hint of a change from Sabbath keeping, not even after יהושע's death.

In Isaiah 66:22-23 Isaiah foretells that the Sabbath and Feast Days will be in force after the resurrection. "For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make shall remain before Me, says  יהוה, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another shall all flesh come to worship before Me, says  יהוה."  יהוה was looking down through history and showing that His people will continue to worship and keep the Sabbaths even in the new age when the Kingdom is established on the earth. PASSOVER AND UNLEAVENED BREAD

Leviticus 23:5-6, Matthew 26:18, Acts 20:6Passover occurs once annually in the Springtime and portrays the passing over of the destroying angel in Egypt and also the Savior's death. The Days of Unleavened Bread symbolize the putting of false doctrine from our lives and feeding on the pure bread of the Word. יהושע kept the Passover (Luke 22:14-16). Verse 16 tells us He will keep it in the future; "For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof until it be fulfilled in the Kingdom of  יהוה."

Notice also verse 30, "That you may eat and drink at My table in My Kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel." This passage proves that the Passover will be kept after His return. Isn't it logical that we should keep this festival now? (The word "Easter" occurs once in the King James Bible at Acts 12:4, and is a mistranslation of pascha, the Passover. Request our Booklet, What You Should Know About Easter, or read our booklet online by clicking here.)In writing to a gentile congregation Paul unashamedly brings up the

Feast of Unleavened Bread

in 1 Corinthians 5:6-8. He tells them a little leaven permeates the entire lump. He instructs them to purge out the old leaven (their old way of life); that they might be a new lump, verse 7. Because the Messiah is sacrificed for us, Paul tells these gentiles to keep the Feast with the unleavenness of sincerity and truth.Certainly Paul would never mention the Passover as being the Messiah and bring up the meaning of this First Covenant festival to gentiles if this holy time was done away in the Renewed Covenant. Yet here he is, chiding a people historically unfamiliar with the Feast Days of Leviticus 23 in terms that show they had now been instructed in these Feast Days.

Did the Apostles keep these annual Feast Days? Paul did. Acts 20:6 reads. "And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days."Many ministers of Sunday-keeping churches cite Acts 20:7 as abolishing the Sabbath simply because Paul preached to the people on the first day of the week; actually our Saturday night since Scriptural days begin in the evening. They ignore scores of Scriptures that support the Sabbath. Note that Acts 20:7 reads, "And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight." In the King James Version the word day is in italics, which means it isn't in the original Greek manuscript. It was added by translators as a help word.

In the Greek Interlinear version the actual phrasing of Acts 20:7 in the Greek begins with, "And on the one (first) of the Sabbaths (week)." Notice the word 'day' does not appear. The word 'Sabbaths' is plural, showing it is linked to a group of Sabbaths. Because this was following the Days of Unleavened Bread, we can easily see the connection is to the count to Pentecost. To determine this third high or annual Sabbath, we are to number 50 days, starting with the first day-after-Sabbath (first day of the week) after Passover. This is the wave sheaf day (Leviticus 23:15), the same day we see in Acts 20:7. Counting seven complete Sabbaths brings us to Pentecost or the Feast of Firstfruits, the first day of the week. PENTECOST

Leviticus 23:15-17, Acts 2:1, 20:16, 1 Corinthians 16:8יהושע was  יהוה's first fruit as He offered Himself in John 20:14-17. Exactly 50 days later, on Pentecost, He sent His Holy Spirit (Acts 2). Well over 20 years afterward we see Paul still keeping this observance, because in Acts 20:16 Paul says he is determined to be in Jerusalem by Pentecost.

The word Pentecost actually means "count 50" and in the First Covenant it's called Feast of Weeks or Feast of Firstfruits. יהושע became the firstfruits of the harvest and sent the Holy Spirit to help us to tell others about  יהוה's loving gift of salvation. At Paul's trial, in which his own life was at stake (Acts 24:11, 14), he described True Worship and confessed he believed all things that were written in the law and the prophets. And he taught "none other things" (Acts 28-22). The second chapter of Acts records that the Renewed Covenant Assembly began with the power of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. On Paul's missionary trip he mentioned to the Corinthian brethren that he was going to spend time in Ephesus until Pentecost, 1 Corinthians 16:8. Paul tells the gentile congregation he would come to visit with them and remain over winter, verses 6-8, but not until after Pentecost. Why does he inform them it will be after Pentecost if gentiles are not to keep Pentecost? FEAST OF TRUMPETS

Leviticus 23:24, 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 1 Corinthians 15:52The Feast of Trumpets is about the future. This Feast pictures the return of יהושע "at the last trump" and typifies the events surrounding His return. Revelation 7:3-4 tells us that the angels are to hold off the plagues until the 144,000 (His people) are sealed. (John wrote that the people who keep the commandments will be blessed with everlasting life, Revelation 22-14.)Revelation 8:7 through Revelation 9:21 tells of the plagues that will come to the earth just before the Messiah's return. These plagues are similar to the plagues that came upon the Egyptians in Moses' time because they had not obeyed  יהוה. Matthew 24:31 notes that at the last trump,  יהוה's people will be separated from the worldly by the return of יהושע. "And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."No one knows when He will return (Matthew 24:36) as יהושע Himself will execute the command (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). This time is yet future and reminds us to keep our thoughts on heavenly things, looking for יהושע's return. We do that by observing this prophetic Feast of Trumpets. DAY OF ATONEMENT

Leviticus 23:27,Acts 27:9This solemn observance is to remind us of the covering of our sins by the blood of the Lamb. This is a special holy day during which we take in no food or drink for 24 hours and is mentioned in Acts 27:9 (see the center reference column of any Bible). The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) fast was on the tenth day of the seventh month, which is an annual holy day, Leviticus 23:27. Note that the author of Acts 27:9 mentions this day of fasting 30 years after the death of the Messiah.Remember, Paul was the Apostle to the gentiles and Luke was a gentile. Paul observed this annual holy day in remembrance of the Messiah as the Atonement for all sins. יהושע became our perfect sacrifice to end all sacrifices (Hebrews 10:10). He is now our High Priest in heaven, atoning and making intercession for us (Hebrews 7:25).Today we afflict our souls with fasting to remind us it was our sins and the world's that He died for (Isaiah 53:7-9). Also, we are reminded that we are flesh, depending on food and water. We look for our fleshly body to one day be changed to spirit, 1 Corinthians 15:51-53. We await His coming from the holy place (Leviticus 16:17). FEAST OF TABERNACLES

Leviticus 23:34, John 7, Acts 18:21Much can be said about the Feast of Tabernacles. The 7th chapter of John is about the Feast of Tabernacles (see verse 2). יהושע kept the feast (verse 10), as He did all the Feast Days.Years later, after the Renewed Covenant Assembly had been established, Paul said in Acts 18:21. "I must by all means keep this feast." This was referring to the Feast of Tabernacles that was kept in Jerusalem.

What about today and in the future 1,000 years? This festival represents the Millennium, יהושע's thousand-year reign on earth. In Zechariah 14 not only is this feast mentioned, but also it tells that keeping of this feast is going to be enforced. The passage in Zechariah 14:16-19 says,"And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King,  יהוה of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be, that Whoever will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King,  יהוה of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. And if the family of Egypt goes not up and comes not, they shall have no rain; that shall be the plague wherewith  יהוה will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles."

Isaiah 66:23, tells us all Sabbaths will be kept after the return of יהושע. "And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me, says  יהוה." LAST GREAT DAY

Leviticus 23:39, John 7:37-39The Last Great Day, the day immediately following the Feast of Tabernacles, represents the Great White Throne Judgment during which  יהוה will judge the world according to their works (Revelation 20:11-13, John 12:48).In John 7:37-39 יהושע, on the Last Great Day, offered His Spirit, which He likened to a river of living water, to quench man's thirst for truth. You know the feeling, as when you first learned His truth and you couldn't get enough! He said, "He that believes on me, as the Scripture has said," verse 38. Through His Spirit we may learn His way so we may stand righteous at that Last Great Day.

HOW ABOUT YOU?

How about you? Can you now see the value of keeping  יהוה's Feast Days? Many of יהושע's miracles, teachings, His birth, death, resurrection, sending of the Kodesh or Set-Apart Spirit, and other major biblical events occurred on Feast Days. Paul and all the apostles kept and worshiped on the Sabbath and Feast Days.Christmas, Easter, New Year's, Valentine's day, and Sunday mean nothing to  יהוה.  יהוה inspired Jeremiah to write. "Learn not the way of the heathen..." (Jeremiah 10:2). These pagan counterfeits never represented anything valuable and never will.יהושע condemns vain worship. He quoted Isaiah 29:13 to the Pharisees in Matthew 15:8, chastising them for their traditions. In Matthew 15:8-9 יהושע says, "This people draws nigh unto Me with their mouth, and honors Me with their lips: but have removed their heart far from Me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." All pagan observances are vain, empty worship made up by man.  יהוה has set aside His Feast Days which have great meaning for us to worship Him.No matter how sincere a person is in offering his form of worship, it is not acceptable before  יהוה unless  יהוה sanctions it in His Word. He said in Hosea 4:6, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to Me, seeing you have forgotten the law of your Elohim, I will also forget your children."

Throughout the Scriptures when  יהוה refers to His Feast Days He calls them "My Feast Days, My Sabbaths" (see Ezekiel 36:20-27); but when He refers to man's set Feast Days or months (moons) (whether they are altered originals or substitutes) He says "your Feast Days," "your moons," or her feast days her new moons etc.In the 5th chapter of Amos, Israel went their own way (as they do today); but  יהוה says "seek  יהוה and live," (Amos 5:6). For those who worship their own way, He says in Amos 5:21-23, "I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will take no delight in your solemn assemblies. Though you offer Me burnt-offerings and meal-offerings, I will not accept them; neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts. Take away from Me the noise of your songs; for I will not hear the melody of your viols." Isaiah 1:11-14 tells us we must keep these days with a pure heart to be acceptable to  יהוה.

Today we have a lot of good singers who sing praises in their own way, but  יהוה doesn't hear them. Gifted preachers preach in their own way on their own days, but  יהוה does not hear them.He does not even hear their prayers, those that turn away from keeping the Sabbaths, Eating Clean Foods, Keeping all the Appointed times/ Feast days. This is that important to him! Pro_28:9  He who turns away his ear from hearing the Torah, Even his prayer is an abominationThose who worship יהוה according to His way as explained in Leviticus 23, in His Name, are the people He hears. These are his set-apart people from the rest of the world! We do these things in both the physical part of the law but also the spiritual part of the law. So when Paul says once in a while don’t go back into bondage. He is talking about the fact that we should not be keeping these commands in Torah just to keep them, that would be bondage. We keep them to be in the spirit of the Torah/law. We keep them because we love Messiah and we keep them out of obedience to him. We are promised to live with Messiah forever if we do. Eternal life sounds pretty good to me.

John 14:15 "If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

Joh 3:36  “He who believes in the Son possesses everlasting life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of Elohim remains on him.”

We keep them, because it helps us learn to walk in the spirit and not in the flesh anymore. By not keeping Torah all of the commands we have just talked about we are still in the flesh.Gal 5:24  And those who are of Messiah have impaled the flesh with its passions and the desires. Gal 5:25  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

The Renewed Covenant is very spiritual. It is all about trying to develop the mind of Messiah. We do this through not dwelling on the flesh/sin in our minds and dwelling on spiritual matters as much as possible.

Rom 8:2  For the Torah of the Spirit of the life in Messiah יהושע has set me free from the law of sin and of death. Rom 8:3  For the Torah being powerless, in that it was weak through the flesh, Elohim, having His own Son in the likeness of flesh of sin, and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh, Rom 8:4  so that the righteousness of the Torah should be completed in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Rom 8:5  For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the matters of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the matters of the Spirit. Rom 8:6  For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace.

This is what so many Christians don’t understand about those of us that do keep the commands in Torah that apply to us. There are many that don’t apply to us. Many of us are not Farmers and we don’t work in a temple. There are many other examples, but you get the idea.

We are in training now to learn of these special times so that we can be Priests, teachers in the Kingdom, Revelation 5:10. How can we qualify to be a kingdom of priests if we do not learn what to do now in this life? The bride is to make herself ready, Revelation 19:7. How about you? Are you following the example of יהושע and the example of His disciples? Are you showing your true love to יהוה by worshiping Him the way He desires to be worshiped, by being obedient to His Word?

I hope this was a blessing to you!
